Litter G - the Malaysia Day babies

What a wonderful feeling, litter G finally arrived 2 days later than scheduled on 16 September 2013, our Malaysia day babies. There were 5 of them but only 4 survived, the other being still born. Union between Arena Srikandi Coon of Lagenda and Lagenda Bahtera Iftar Putra, this is Kandi's second litter and Iftar's first.

13th Thailand Cat Show 2013

The next show we attended was the 13th Thailand Cat Show 2013, a 10 AB ring show organised by the Cat Fanciers Club of Thailand from 27 to 28 July 2013 at MCC Convention Hall Floor 4, The Mall Bangkapi. Judges were Yukiko Hayata, Ayumi Ueda, Wakako Nagayama, Kayoko Koizumi, Allan Davies, Becky Orlando, Cheryle U'Ren, Rod U'Ren, Yaeko Takano and Megumi Yamashita. For this show, we only brought along Muezza as the others were not in show form (and we wanted to enjoy Bangkok this time round).
Muezza did pretty well, he finalled in all rings finishing at no. 3, 4, 6, 3, 4, 6, 2, 6, 4 & 3. Am a happy mum :))
And I also won the lucky draw - a brand new Samsung Grand handphone! All in, a very enjoyable show, met lots of friends and made new friends as well :)

PFF 3rd International CFA Champion Cat Show, Bangkok 6 & 7 July 2013

We brought Muezza and Ike to their first international show for this season at the PFF 3rd International CFA Champion Cat Show held in Bangkok from 6 to 7 July 2013.
The event hall was nice and roomy, with lots of space for the exhibitors. Although it was initially warm as the aircon was not switched on, the room was airy through out the day and there was a spot right in the middle of the hall whereby if you talk, everyone in the room can hear you - very good acoustics :))

The Lagenda team did reasonable well, Muezza granded on the first day and went on to the second day to compete as a grand. Suffice to say, he was good enough to final as one of the top five premiers to be selected for the Best of the Best award at the end of the show. Of course he did not win the Best of the Best award but we were ever so proud of this boy of ours, he brings much honour to our cattery by granding in one show in Bangkok last season and again granding in Bangkok as a premier (although in two shows). And he also received a Judge's ribbon from Allan Davies (our first!).

Pet World-Fife /KKM International Cat Show 2013

The FIFe/KKM International Cat Show 2013 was successfully held on 23 June in conjunction with the Pet World 2013 held at the MidValley Mega Mall. We fielded Putra, Tuksido and Muezza for the show with Muezza coming home as Best Premier of the Show - way to go for his first time as an altered boy!

An unexpected visit by HRH Sultanah Nur Zahirah and her daughters Princess Tengku Nadhirah Zaharah and Princess Tengku Fatimatuz Zahra' really, really made my day coz I was roped in to be one of the ushers for the day. LOL but it was funny, me, the most non-protocol person, had to be on my bestest of bestest behaviour and trying to mind my language but HRH was soooooooooo absolutely adorably nice and you don't actually have to mind your language after all coz she really, really puts you at ease. She was politeness and sweetness and everything nice all rolled into one stunning beautiful package - I totally adored her the minute I started talking to her! And her daughters were so unassuming, I love them both! (Ok that's enough gushing!)

Equilibrio International Cat Show 2013 - The Cat Lovers Show

For the Equilibrio International Cat Show 2013 - The Cat Lovers Show held on 9 June 2013 at South City Plaza, we fielded Tuksido, Addira, and Iftar in the Championship Category, Muezza and Raina in the Premiership Category and Boboy in the HHP Category. It was the first time Muezza entered as a Premier and the first time Raina entered as an adult so we were quite nervous, especially since we were informed that one of the Judges, Pam Delabar, wast said to be one of the best maine coon judges around.

Thank goodness Muezza did not fail, he was placed no. 1 in her ring and came second in Michael Schleissner's ring. Raina also finaled in Michael's ring, coming in 9th place - way to go girl! Although the others did not make the finals, we are still happy with their performances in the rings and there were no untowards incidences :)).

Qitta Catz also opened a booth that day and the best thing was we managed to meet new customers/exhibitors to the show. So happy with the growth of the cat fancy, we hope that there will be more new exhibitors in future shows.
